Résumé:
Les échanges boursiers occupent une place importante dans l’œuvre de jeunesse de Max Weber. Sa trajectoire académique et son expérience scientifique éclairent son intérêt pour cet objet économique marginal. À l’heure où il quitte le droit pour une chaire d’économie nationale, il identifie les enjeux de la réforme boursière que réclament les représentants des intérêts agrariens. Publiés séparément, l’unité des deux cahiers qui constituent La Bourse pose problème. Des modifications substantielles par rapport au projet initial et l’adoption d’un ton nettement plus nationaliste les distinguent. C’est que les circonstances politiques ont changé et que Weber a formulé à l’occasion de sa leçon inaugurale de 1895 les principes politiques qui gouvernent son activité scientifique.




 




Abstract :




Max Weber’s Battle for the Exchange. Understanding what makes Die Börse a Whole Stock and commodity exchanges account for a significant part of Max Weber’s youth works. Weber’s academic trajectory and scientific experience throw light upon his interest for this marginal topic in Economics. While moving from teaching Law to a professorship in Economics and Finance, Weber identifies what is at stakes in the Exchange Act asked for by the representatives of agrarian interests. It is not clear whether Die Börse really makes up a whole because it is made of two separately published articles. Substantial modifications have made the second text distinct from the initial project. Weber also sounds much more nationalistic in the second article than in the first one. Two reasons can explain this changes : political circumstances have changed. Also, Weber has formulated the political principles that drive his scientific activity in the meanwhile.
